first day at usv

today’s my first day as ai lead at usv

i’m so excited to be here. ai tools have exploded over the last few years. it’s never been a better time to be a builder

i’ve spent my career adjacent to vc on the other side of the table as an early employee at novel. i love that i get to build new tools with ai while solidifying my understanding of how these funds actually work. even from just observing one day, usv has this amazing conversational culture

i got some great advice from andy, one of the partners:

ask a ton of questions, no matter how basic. the assumption is, if you don’t say anything when a topic is discussed, that you understand it 100%

i find that most people don’t operate this way, especially when they’re starting a new job
